Purpose: Equity knowledge being a requirement, this role is looking for someone facing Capital Markets Equity traders and supporting the trading platforms and other related technology. They will be the liaison between the Business and Technology for Capital Markets, primarily focussing on Electronic and Algorithmic trading, there will also be exposure to Cash (high touch) trading. Situated on the main Company Capital Markets trading floor we are looking for a pro-active, energetic business facing strong communicator with an Equities background and exposure to the technologies behind trading. Key Result Areas: • Level 1 Support of the Cdn Institutional Electronic Trading desk with additional focus on Cash trading. • Trader support and liaison between Business unit/Traders and Technology for Enterprise Fidessa OMS related issues. • Monitoring, management, communication and training of the applications and business flow. • Manage outages; proactive communication and problem management through to resolution. Tracking of Post Mortems, bug fixes, enhancements etc. • Troubleshoot & fix booking & reporting related breaks identified by operations and/or front-office control • Conduct war-games & document recovery procedures for faster turn-around & lesser business impact. • Conduct training & knowledge sharing sessions. • Support the integration of new releases, bug fixes, patches and configuration changes into production, including post release checks and trader training / notification. • Liaison with Trade Surveillance / Compliance to locate trades and identify trade attributes.
