General Purpose The Chyron Operator is responsible for the over-all image of electronic graphics for a show that will be aired at the Network. This position will operate list-driven graphic device play-out and may require the operator to input the electronic graphics such as, name and location supers, banners, full screens, logos, and credits. Additionally, a Chyron Operator must import graphics and clip animations, create full screens, be highly organized and able to work closely with show producers and graphic artists. Along with a strong technical background, the Chyron Operator must be alert, fast paced and able to work productively under high pressure situations. Responsibilities   • Build Chyron Lyric graphics from scratch using artist provided elements   • Create effects with transition logic and key frame application for switcher generated GPI triggers   • Enable graphics for producer-generated Self-Serve templates   • Operation of multiple list-driven Graphics devices for play-out to air, while maintaining high technical standards utilizing Camio and LUCI MOS iNews plug-in.   • Cover an on-air control room Chyron Operator position and/or a Graphics Play-out Operator position, handling various graphics integration including full screens, animations, and talent boxes   • Format graphic templates, organize data and prepare effects for live telecasts   • Coordinate graphic details with Directors, Technical Directors, Producers, Artists, and Operations Managers   • Checks content for accurate spelling and grammar   • Will be required to perform duties in other areas of Control Room Operations such as Media Playback (EVS and Servers), AD, and TD as trained and needed Qualifications/Requirements: Requirements   • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Television Production or related and 3+ years of production experience in a live television environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.   • Strong knowledge and understanding of broadcast and production technology.   • Studio and Remote production experience.
