Responsibilities will be to create the best product assortment of woven tops that is consistent with the Company brand. Manage an OTB, sales, and inventory. Maximize top line sales and profitability. Strong understanding of fashion with the ability to identify trends.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):
• Take accountability for the Company brand and ensure that retail stores have the right mix and quantity of products available and necessary to meet their business and customer needs.
• Develop methods for analyzing businesses and results of previous buying strategies and make tactical adjustments to leverage opportunities for increased profitability
• Negotiate with Vendors on all costing, discounts, exclusivity, terms and delivery at the item level.
• Develop and implement product strategies that tie to financial plans (partner with Planning).
• Work closely with Planning and Allocation to ensure optimal assortment management and regularly share business results with Planning and Allocation partners. Manage partnerships effectively.
• Identify growth, maintain and downtrending styles and brands with the objective of improving productivity of total product area.
• Perform market analysis, competitive shop and analyze sales trends to keep abreast of current trends.
• Maximize markdown dollars, understand seasonality and create a pricing/markdown strategy.
• Work cohesively to create multi-channel synergy and achieve overall financial goals for the brand communication and leadership.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Years of Related Professional Experience: 1-3.
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Retail Administration, Merchandising, Business, or other related field and/or related experience preferred.
• Strong merchandise planning/analysis and the inventory pipeline skills from order to permanent markdown.
• Prioritize and direct multiple activities.
• System proficiency: Epicor, Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented and accurate.
• Expertise in retail math.
• Customer, marketplace and product expert.
• Ability to complete general analysis to support recommendations and decisions.
• Strong presentation and communication skills, both spoken and written.
• Creative, assertive and solution-oriented when faced with obstacles.
• Decision making capability clearly driven by conceptualizing current and near term opportunities and developing strategic product and business initiatives.
• Strong leadership and team building skills.
