What is the opportunity?
A Business Intelligence Specialist is required to join an established business team supporting contact centre needs in the areas of reporting and analytics. Leveraging multiple skills the role is responsible to diagnose, design, build, and support multiple solutions. This business role will define information requirements with sponsors; evaluate and recommend solution and incremental delivery options; conduct formal testing of solutions and peer deliverables; design highly effective visualizations of big data; executing data mining requests; and cause analysis in support of either problem/incident management or actionable insights.
What will you do?
-Proactively elicit from business sponsors and end user community their information and analytical requirements
-Apply contact centre operations experience to both inform the business of impacts, and to recommend and design KPI.
-Translate requirements into plans, wireframes, prototypes and design specifications.
-Design and develop highly effective data visualizations through dashboard and report designs.
-Create and execute detailed test cases for function, operability and data quality.
-Action ad-hoc requests for data mining and investigations.
-Leverage business communications skills to present concepts and champion assigned Business Intelligence projects to completion.
-Effectively collaborate with peers and stakeholders to investigate, design, and deliver quality insights.
What you need to succeed?
-Experience in a contact centre operations monitoring and diagnosing operational and strategic KPI.
-Must have strong skills for creating, testing, and debugging SQL.
-Expert level experience designing and creating metrics, reports, dashboards and completing diagnosis using tools including Teradata, Hadoop, Hive, Pig, Eclipse, R, SAS, OBI, Tableau, QLik.
-Experience with data modeling and DBA deliverables.
-Demonstrated skills assessing, facilitating and presenting in either business or I.T. settings.
Nice to have
-Working knowledge of contact centre KPIs, WFM, queues, IVR, routing, sales systems, banking products will be beneficial.
-Practical experience quickly and accurately conducting ad hoc queries against RBDM or Hadoop environments will be beneficial.
-Knowledge of CRISP-DM, Agile, statistics and digital media.
