Brand Marketing Director, House Beautiful
The Hearst Design Group is seeking a Brand Marketing Director to lead development and execution of all brand-building activities for HOUSE BEAUTIFUL. The Brand Marketing Director is responsible for knowing the status of all the marketing activities for that title, most importantly what advertiser proposals are in play, special events, and digital and social campaigns.
This position requires someone with the creativity and resourcefulness to work seamlessly with the title’s editor in chief to chart the brand’s identity and direction among readers, the design community, influencers and advertisers. The ability to work closely with the associate publisher of sales and the group publishing director and other senior team members is essential.
In addition to the individual title duties, the Brand Marketer will be involved in overall Hearst Design Group marketing and partner with the other senior marketing team members to participate and assist with cross-title events and other major initiatives.
Primary duties include:
• Work in partnership with the Editor in Chief, the Group Publishing Director and Associate Publisher of Advertising to develop brand strategy, positioning, and programs.
• Develop programs and concepts to enhance the brand’s visibility, and increase integrated advertising sales.
• Work in close partnership with the Editor in Chief and Associate Publisher of Advertising to develop brand strategy, positioning, and programs.
• Create integrated opportunities for current and prospective advertisers that cross all platforms: print, digital, social media, and experiential components.
• Develop brand sales presentations and analyze research to build brand stories.
• Develop, manage and adhere to marketing budgets
• Liaison with PR and other relevant Hearst departments
• Manage and approve all proposals and pitches for day-to-day management of 2-4 marketing team members
• Research and develop new revenue streams which could include television, paid events, and leads to co-branded and licensing partnerships.
Required Skills:
Excellent analytical, creative and writing skills
Ability to manage multiple, detailed projects simultaneously
Digital (integrated) marketing experience
Knowledge of syndicated research
Experience in creating and producing events
Must have 6+ years of marketing experience.
Ideal candidate has experience in proposal writing, executing events, and research.
