Business Unit Overview
ESG Client Solutions is a new business unit created to build and deliver to clients a range of innovative ESG-related investment products, solutions and services. The range will cover the ESG continuum including ESG integration, exclusion and screening, best in class strategies, thematic and impact investing.
Job Purpose/Background:
The Head of ESG Client Solutions will lead the firm’s efforts to commercialize our ESG capabilities. The person in the role will be responsible for overseeing all business and product development, product strategy, communications and client servicing in relation to ESG products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design the vision and strategy for expanding Company’s ESG offering globally. Successful execution will be evidenced by a material increase in Company’s ESG-related assets and revenue.
• Establish the function as a business unit and build the processes required to support this growing product line
• Build out a market leading product lineup based on client and market trends working with investment and client teams across asset classes. Impact product development will entail the development of impact measurement programs.
• Build working relationships across the firm with investment, client-facing, product and senior management colleagues, to support strategy implementation
• Oversee the design of a multi-channel and multi-region distribution strategy for the platform including the creation of educational and marketing materials
• Work closely with the iShares, Retail and Institutional client-facing teams to drive sales and raise the profile and understanding of Company’s ESG products and capabilities
• Work with clients and prospective clients to identify an approach to ESG investment or integration that meets their goals
• Position Company with industry experts as the leading organization for ESG capabilities and products
Skills and Qualifications:
• Proven experience in a client solutions and business development role, preferably within the financial services industry
• Experience or, at least, a strong interest in ESG-related investments and sustainability
• Sharp presentation as well as oral and written communications skills
• Experience leading and managing a function with multiple interdependencies within a complex global corporation
• Experience developing and managing a team
• MBA, other advanced degree, Series 24 and/or CFA designation are helpful
