THE PURPOSE:
As the LOA and Benefits Coordinator, you will be responsible handling all activities related company benefit programs including open enrollment, file maintenance, documentation preparation, responding to all related questions. In addition, you will also be the main point of contact for Leaves of Absence and will handle both retail and corporate requests.
THE ROLE (what you are accountable for)
• Coordinates the company’s benefit programs, consulting with and advising associates on eligibility, amounts of coverage and claims procedures. Communicates benefit information to qualified employees during open enrollment.
• Coordinate daily benefits processing. Handles enrollments, COBRA and beneficiaries.
• Develop a good working knowledge on COBRA billing.
• Respond to benefit inquiries from employees on plan provisions, benefit enrollment, status changes and general inquiries.
• Monitor ACA compliance, take action on issue resolution and communicate needs.
• Monitor and communicate interface error files between our payroll system and retirement plan vendor and various other benefits related interfaces.
• Develop a working knowledge of the HRIS and how it interfaces with various benefit carriers file integrations and transmissions.
• Ensure applicable forms, tools process and policies are current and appropriate based upon requirements and changes to Federal or State laws.
• Serve as the first point of contact for questions, intake of leave requests, preparing and sending required notices, forms and letters and evaluating health certification information.
• Ensure maintenance of accurate and complete LOA records, files and reporting in accordance with company processes, policies and procedures, as well as any applicable regulatory information.
• Responsible for tracking all documentation, notifications, correspondence and administration details accurately and in a timely manner.

REQUIRED MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
• 3-4 years of experiance in working with leaves of absence and various benfits programs.
• Ablity to communicate and collaborate effectively with employees, management and cross functiional partners.
• Detailed oriented and strong orginization skills.
• Strong process, worksflow and audit skills with compliance focus.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
• Multi state experience.
• Experience with working for a retail organization.
