POSITION SUMMARY:
The AV Technical Coordinator is responsible for the set-up, operation, maintenance, organization, and deployment of various audio technologies throughout Barclays Center.
This part-time position requires a personable and well-rounded individual to work both independently with hands-on responsibilities and cooperatively with other team members.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Setup, test, and operate audio equipment for concerts, sports events, press conferences, private events, and more.
• Interface with clients and show technicians to acquire necessary audio feeds
• Deploy and test intercoms, microphones, speakers, and other equipment for events
• Coordinate with crew members the deployment and storage of all audio equipment used for events and maintaining equipment inventory and condition logs
• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning audio cables and connectors
• Work with others to maintain a clean, labeled, and organized inventory of equipment and tools
• Interface with event managers to ensure technical needs are met for events
• Perform quality control checks for audio throughout the arena during events
• Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Audio or Video Technology or a combination of relevant education and experience
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role or related field
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Experience mixing and operating audio equipment for live events
• Good communication, time management, project management and organizational skills a must
• Attention to detail and experience working in a team-oriented environment required
• Must be able to troubleshoot technical issues under pressure
• Must have aptitude to function in a sometimes repetitive environment
• Ability to work extensive hours covering games and events at Barclays Center during nights, weekends, and holidays as required

The incumbent may be required to travel on a very limited basis.
B. Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
