Charter Company Reach, the media advertising group within Charter Communications, is seeking an experienced Digital Product Manager who preferably has agency experience working with automotive brands or other related automotive marketing expertise. The person in this role will create or enhance digital products from existing ideas, and help to develop new ideas based on your experience of what auto dealers need. You will be responsible for developing marketing strategies and digital advertising solutions to car dealerships’ sales and service centers. In addition, the Digital Product Manager will lead other non-automotive digital product solutions as needed such as paid Social advertising and work closely with vendors who provide white label services we repackage and sell.
The candidate must have proven knowledge of the automotive industry, co-op & OEM compliance rules & regulations, and articulate the dealers voice in everything we do. Beyond this special experience it’s important the candidate have demonstrable experience in product management, and a deep understanding of today’s digital landscape and trends. The Product Manager is primarily responsible for executing the Go-To-Market strategy and shares responsibility achieving the revenue goals for their product line area of responsibility.
The candidate will work closely with ad operations, data solutions, research, sales, product marketing, and industry experts to drive product development and support sales opportunities.
As a key member of the Digital Product Development team this position reports directly to the Director of Digital Product Development.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Create and document a compelling product Vision and Value Proposition for Sales teams and customer. Collaborate with the Company Reach product marketing team to maintain relevant sales collateral and other product advisory announcements for sales awareness.
• Document detailed product requirements in accordance with managing the short-term & long-term roadmap for both auto sales initiatives and other non-automotive digital solutions such as Social and Native.
• Lead ongoing communications, meetings, and status reports to build rapport, transparency, and maintain pursuant healthy relationships among key stakeholders.
• Manage all supplier relationships that support the products you are managing.
• Manage release schedule for areas of product responsibility to deliver committed scope, on schedule and with the highest possible degree of quality.
• Ensure all appropriate sales teams are adequately trained by working with the training team partners and provided training tools.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
• At least five years of experience as a product manager. Added bonus if you have a background from an agency or worked directly on the marketing side of the automotive industry.
• An expert in one/more: Paid Search, SEO, Social, Native or Google analytics.
• Demonstrated ability to exert influence and make & meet commitments in a highly-matrixed organization.
• Ability to analyze business and financial trends relative to product features and market trends.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a deadline driven environment.
• Open and highly collaborative mentality with strong interpersonal skills and able to work with senior management and strive in fast-paced environments.
• Experience with technical infrastructure to sell and serve digital ads across multiple platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Marketing or related field or equivalent experience.
• Ability to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance
• Excellent verbal and written business communication skills and proficiency in analytical thinking and problem solving.
