The Challenge Ahead:
The EA Content & Digital Strategy Engineering team is looking for a talented Developer to join their team in Cologne, Germany. This presents some fantastic opportunities for ambitious individuals looking for an exciting new challenge, to learn, grow, and create high quality tools for pipeline development.
The Associate Software Engineer is part of the tool creation process, including tool design, implementation, and debugging - working on complex problems with Designers, Artists and other Engineers in the domain of tool, pipeline and workflow development.
What a Web Developer does at EA:
• Working closely with the marketing team to develop user-friendly tools; easy to manage and efficient pipelines; and optimal workflow that aid in the development and iteration of media content.
• Develop and maintain plug-ins and stand-alone applications used in the creation and automation of media production, preprocessing of geometry, textures, animation data, scripts, etc.
• Evaluate and integrate 3rd party tools and APIs.
• Write technical design specifications.
• Design, maintain, implement, test and debug code.
The next great EA Web Developer also needs:
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent training and professional experience.
• Solid software development skills with experience developing in at least one of Python (PyQt/PySide), JavaScript (React).
• Experience with using source control tools (Git).
• Experience working with large data sets and shared media.
• Demonstrated knowledge of good software engineering practices.
• Ability to analyze and improve workflow to enhance group productivity.
• An agile mindset.
• Experience with Webpack/Babel/NPM
• Experience working with the Shotgun Toolkit API
• Experience in Adobe CEP HTML5 Panels Development
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Eligibility to work in the EU is mandatory.
