Company Entertainment, in partnership with our Company Brands is focused on growing its digital video audience and is seeking a multi-talented Social Editor to join our video team.
The Social Editor will work with the Producer as well as the brand’s Creative and Digital Editorial Directors to support all video initiatives for the Brand. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in social content with an appreciation for a vast range of subjects, covering everything from lifestyle to celebrity to news and politics. This role will act as the support system for the Video Department working on fast turnaround of daily videos.
Essential:
• Passion for socially driven video content
• Is the on-call, quick and smart video editor for timely social content
• Knowledge of social eco-systems required
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at the same time while working under tight deadlines
• Partner with creative team members and other departments to ideate, brainstorm, and develop creative around various programming initiatives.
Desirable:
• Ideal candidate can run point on graphic-video projects as well
• Detail-oriented, and have the ability to adapt to changing and shifting requirements quickly.
• Comfortable working independently and to self-teach.
• Passion for trying new things, and ability to quickly provide alternative solutions/ideas
Requirements:
• 1-2 years of proven editing experience
• Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere, After Effects and Photoshop
• Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Knowledge of current social media technologies and platforms
