The Learning Services Technology team is searching for an Associate Scrum Masterresponsible for leading an agile-based SDLC for a development organization with 1 to 2 agile scrum teams. One will also be responsible for fostering an environment of continuous improvement while working with the broader team to increase the effectiveness, consistency, and transparency of delivery across Learning Services Technology. The successful candidate will orchestrate our shared vision into action by driving an effective workflow and communication across disciplines.
What you will be doing as your key responsibilities…
Lead, participate, and support the various Agile based SDLC and scrum activities. This includes:
• Organize and facilitate project planning, daily stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos and other Scrum-related meetings
• Track and communicate team velocity and sprint/release progress
• Maintain process documentation; recommending improvements, creating necessary standards, tools and best practices, and document them as needed
• Work with Product Managers to maintain an accurate and up-to-date backlog
• Update our Agile tracking system (Jira, Confluence) with Product & Sprint Backlog information
• Support the development managers and team leads as necessary
• Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information
• Assist teams with making appropriate commitments through story selection, and task definition
• Ensure successful completion of sprints/releases within scope, budget, time, and quality parameters
• Responsible for communicating performance and executive reporting for assigned projects
• Adapt project plans, schedules, and resource assignments as required throughout releases to respond to emerging requirements and risks
Qualifications
What we are looking for…
• Bachelor's degree or combination of relevant education and experience
• Knowledge and understanding of an Agile methodology
• One year of Scrum Master experience
• Experience with JIRA and Rally a plus
• Ability to understand technical issues at a high level
• Experience project managing digital/ mobile applications
• Experience with Microsoft Project or SmartSheet project management application a plus
• Experience with educational software development a plus
