Associate Producer - SundanceTV
OVERVIEW
The Associate Producer (AP) will contribute to the Sundance Brand Creative department, providing general production support, and writing/producing promotional videos. We are looking for a strong writer and idea generator that will be an active contributor, submitting and developing promo concepts and scripts for network initiatives such as weekly/monthly film stunts and special programming events. Scope of work will include promo production, screening of materials, directing voice-overs, overseeing tagging sessions and audio mixes. The AP will also occasionally lend creative support to senior producers on original series campaigns.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Concept, write scripts and produce promos/trailers for varying types entertainment genres (eg: drama, comedy, indie, suspense, sci-fi, action, etc)
• Oversee versioning of existing promos
• Produce pre-scripted promos
• Direct voice over talent
• Research and choose music selects
• Screen footage at producer’s request
• Oversee edit sessions, audio mixes and sound design
• Submit and mange graphics requests
• Manage all tagging and versioning of videos for final delivery to multiple departments/platforms
• Manage deadlines and multiple priorities
• Shepard projects through from start to finish through all internal and external approvals
QUALIFICATIONS
• Strong writing skills with proven ability to concept and write for various types of entertainment genres
• At least 2 years of production experience in television post-production with experience in writing and producing on-air promos or similar short form digital/social promotional content
• Ability to take direction well, come up with multiple ideas for any initiative, change direction as needed and stay on brand, on schedule and on budget
• Must have basic knowledge of network graphics packaging and music library use
• Basic edit skills, whether Avid, Premiere or Final Cut is a plus, but not required
• Strong organizational and communication skills with ability to pitch ideas to senior creative team and give clear direction to other production personnel
• An awareness of SundanceTV’s brand voice and programming is desired, including via the network’s website and social media sites.
