They determine the best mix of channels to go to market, combining cultural insights and algorithms to build strategies and manage media programs. Data is the driver. Here’s what you should know if you want to be an Associate Director, Media & Connections at Company:
On any given day you might
• Lead ad operations team and manage the execution of advertising campaigns across all channels
• Oversee the Connections Planning and Buying division of the Media team to ensure best practices are met and connections plans are followed
• Identify how brands should behave in different cultural spaces
• Organize, concept, and develop culturally relevant connection ideas that live in relevant media environments
• Work with Analytics and Finance regarding media agreements, media optimization and client reporting and billing
• Oversee the development and execution of all online media efforts to ensure they are on strategy, on budget and on schedule, and manage client expectations and deliverables
• Build and maintain strong relationships with media partners and stay on top of new capabilities and trends
• Mentor junior team members, including their development and career progression
The ideal person
• Loves creative ideas and has an aptitude for communicating them
• Can convert analysis into real world actionable solutions
• Has experience mentoring a team and can provide constructive feedback, guidance and solutions
• Has excellent negotiation skills with the media and ability to grow these skills in junior media staff
• Can collaborate and work effectively with creative teams and partner in an integrated agency environment
• Has a working knowledge of the latest cutting-edge media tools and emerging media trends
• Has outstanding oral and written communication skills
You bring
• 7+ years’ of digital media planning experience at an interactive agency
• 4+ years’ supervising online media planner/buyers and proven success managing a team and mentoring and developing junior media staff
• A Bachelor’s Degree
