Job Summary
This position will be responsible for monitoring, optimizing, and reporting on our paid social media campaigns. Working with client strategists and junior Marketplace team members, the Associate Director, Social Marketplace provides campaign management on select active buys, while maintaining oversight of all active buys along with team education.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Manage buys from set-up to targeting buckets to optimization to reporting. Combine data analysis and client feedback to configure, operate and optimize campaigns to meet client objectives.
• Determine set-up, including testing methodologies, reporting requirements, and optimization requirements, for ensuring full impact and efficiency of each campaign.
• Maintain oversight of all team active buys and analysis standards, including reporting and insight generation along with standards QA.
• Lead the monitoring and reporting of campaign performance and proactively communicate any issues to internal team and client, when necessary.
• Provide active voice in communication optimization strategies, proactively communicating challenges and opportunities.
• Assume internal education role relative to paid social best practices within the team and throughout the agency.
• Work with FMP partners to improve dashboard and product to better serve our clients’ goals, and continually research new partners, data integrations and practice improvement opportunities.
• Work in tandem with client teams and Marketplace Managers to draw greater learnings from social campaign actions.
• Use data during and post-campaign to optimize and draw greater conclusions about clients’ business.
• Participate in overall client social strategy development in order to deeply understand the role marketplace media plays in larger media objectives.
• Complete monthly financial tracker documents.
• Generate and Maintain internal performance benchmark documents.
• Take the lead in New Business onboarding.
• Represent Marketplace and Social teams at Agency level in brainstorms and New Business activity.
• Create and host regular team learning sessions on new platforms / Products.
• Contribute to and maintain oversight over team POV generation.

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position will directly supervise Manager level and below Marketplace employees. In addition, this position works closely with team planners across the agency, both reviewing and approving campaign activations and reports, and in an education and training capacity.
Knowledge and Skills Required
The ideal candidate would have significant past exposure to different API platforms, have an affinity for data, and the ability to think on his or her feet.
• Degree in statistics, analytics, social media marketing, digital marketing preferred
• 6+ years of related work experience in online advertising environments (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter)
• Extreme proficiency with Excel
• Hands-on experience in online advertising environments having directly managed a high volume of paid social buys (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter)
• Trouble-Shooting skills related to Social platforms, Ads APIs and New Product releases
• Attention to detail, and time management skills to actively monitor campaigns
• Strong client-facing voice
• Ability to quickly learn new services and dashboards
• Ability to train staff on new ad product offerings and dashboards
• Comfortable distilling data into client learnings
Certificates, licenses and registrations
Facebook Blueprint and Twitter Flight School preferred, but not required.
