Position Summary
ID Media is looking for a dynamic, talented Associate Director, New Business to join our team in New York!
Essential Functions
• Leads new business pitches, including partnering with business stakeholder, maintaining stewardship, ensuring quality, and providing financial accountability
• Partners collaboratively with holding company teams to deliver winning presentations
• Develops effective written responses to RFPs that differentiate the agency, providing the newest and most compelling support stories
• Manages a system to prepare RFP responses and other New Business inquiries most efficiently
• Develops opportunities for new business, demonstrating an organized, methodical approach to identifying targets and prospecting. Includes collaboration with Mediabrands prospecting team
• Creates compelling approach tactics, ranging from phone to presentations
• Builds relationships with influentials, including other holding company agencies and agency search consultants
• Effectively mobilizes members of the pitch team to develop strong pitch materials and presentations
• Aids in developing strategic case studies to be used in the New Business process
• Develops Runs biweekly new business meeting, maintains pipeline documentation and projections utilizing Company website
• Utilizes key research tools and synthesizes large amounts of information
• Identifies and presents new business best practices to senior management, including input on company positioning
• Collabrates with graphic designer to develop presentation materials, including leave behinds
Qualifications
Education:
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree
Work Experience:
• 10 years of ad agency experience; tenure in new business at a media agency strongly preferred
Skills:
• Strong media knowledge that includes TV and digital, with an emphasis on ROI
• Facility in discussing high-level concepts of modeling and other processes to demonstrate accountability for media investments
• Business development expertise, including strong communication (verbal, written, visualization), interpersonal, and organization skills
• High energy and an enthusiasm for media, measurement, data, and technology
• Strong presence and confidence to best represent company internally and externally
• Ability to collaborate well with staff, clients, and vendors at all levels
• A fire in the belly, with the desire to learn and grow
