Job Description
The Associate Director, Media Analytics will be responsible for finding the insights that matter most through data exploration and model building. A key focus for this role will be around building models that predict revenue/profit as a function of media investment, competitive activity, geography, and market segment. The Associate Director will be responsible for designing, implementing, executing and refining these models as well as staying ahead of industry trends and new solutions. The ideal candidate will be passionate about problem solving and constantly exploring ways to improve on our current offering.
Responsibilities
• Develop econometric modeling and simulations/forecasts applied to marketing mix optimization, campaign segmentation, pricing optimization and customer lifetime value analyses to support client engagements
• Manage the retrieving, compiling, and formatting of large volumes of data
• Analyze data to generate graphics for use in client presentations.
• Utilize syndicated research tools to retrieve various types of data (macroeconomic, marketing, business, etc.).
• Write and test macros that help automate data/modeling process using SAS, Excel VBA, SQL Server
• Build forecasts and budgets based on historical data as part of the planning process
• Act as primary day-to-day contact on insights and analytics for assigned account(s)
• Manage project timelines and deliverable schedules
Skills and Experience
• 6 - 8 years of experience in marketing analytics and / or research including media attribution, test design, and statistics applied to marketing.
• Experience analyzing DRTV campaigns.
• Demonstrable strategic thinking and analysis skills, as well as the ability and confidence to draw conclusions and recommendations from a business perspective.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills with a proven history of building and maintaining relationships.
• The ability to translate results into clear, concise presentations, written reports, and data visualizations.
• Resourceful and creative — must bring fresh insights and not be discouraged when all the data is not readily available.
• Experience with advanced analytic techniques, such as factor analysis, predictive modelling, logistic regression, and cluster analysis, segmentation, attitudinal/motivational analysis, concept/copy testing, sales forecasting, response prediction, advertising effectiveness, consumer profiling, market mix and ROI measurement.
• Proficient in 1 or more statistical software packages (ie: R, SPSS, SAS, Alteryx, Python, Hive).
• Highly skilled in accessing data from relational databases (ie: SQL Server, AWS, S3 Bucket).
• Experience with typical media platforms (ie: Prisma, Sizmek, Marin).
• Strong time-management skills and the ability to multi-task, collaborate successfully with teams, and work under pressure.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree strongly preferred.
