Associate Director – E-Commerce Supply Chain

Position Summary:
The primary purpose of this Associate Director position is to lead a wide range of overall strategic Supply Chain operations, focused on eCommerce, integrating advanced customer strategy in areas including purchasing and inventory control of raw materials, selection of vendors, production planning, and forecasting. This role would develop joint supply chain business plans with the customer base, and drive integrated eCommerce supply chain capabilities into the broader organization as well as contributing to the overall business strategy. This role will be a critical driver of eCommerce supply chain strategies across Business Unit brands and Company North America. The eCommerce Supply Chain Associate Director will deliver eCommerce results and innovation through close partnership with Customer Development (BU Sales Strategy and Customer sales teams), Marketing, sector and business unit leadership, Digital COE, internal and external technology teams and product supply teams.
Key internal customers include President – Business Unit, NA; NA brand teams; global supply chain teams; Finance team; Global Strategy team; Customer Development; and Product Supply. External customers would be any existing or new customers with e-commerce business.
Role will lead a team of 4-6 direct reports, and provide indirect leadership to all Supply Chain team members with responsibilities related to eCommerce. Team size subject to grow as eCommerce business grows.
Responsibilities:
• Lead creation and execution of short and long-term customer eCommerce Supply Chain and capacity objectives, tactics, vision and strategies.
• Develop strategic and tactical plans to improve productivity, quality and efficiency of Supply Chain and operations.
• Develop unique and differentiated eCommerce supply chain approaches with key top multi-channel & pure-play customers.
• Provide supply chain leadership for commercial program development and execution within eCommerce channel.
• Engage strategic customer teams to provide highly-valued thought leadership on eCommerce supply chain opportunities.
• Collaborate & coordinate with Global Supply Chain & Global regions to translate eCommerce learning globally.
• Collaborate across Brands, to identify and proactively drive efficient eCommerce supply chain solutions.
• Provide leadership in the education of the wider organization of eCommerce marketplace
• Provide supply chain leadership on innovation projects
• Consult on the long term innovation plan for the Ecommerce channel
Critical Skills/Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain/Business/related field and minimum 10 years prior Supply Chain experience
• 5+ years eCommerce experience
• 5+ years successfully leading strategic customer Supply Chain operations. Proficiency with supply chain concepts, practices and procedures.
• Entrepreneur can-do attitude to find ways to break down growth barriers
• Demonstrated positive energy to effectively represent Company Supply Chain internally and externally
• Motivated by challenges and possessing a robust sense of curiosity
• Ability to pull insights from multiple sources and synthesize into a compelling story for change
• Strong skills and experience with diagnosing and resolving complex problems and opportunities
• Ability to craft vision and strategy and make it come to life with actionable plans
• High familiarity with supply chain strategy development, integrated customer planning, and innovation processes
• Strong analytical, decision making, influence, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently (self-motivated) and complete projects within required time frames.
• Able to lead and inspire cross functional teams to deliver strong customer plans
• Able to make tough, informed decisions quickly to keep performance on track
Preferred Qualifications:
• Graduate degree in Supply Chain or Business Administration
• Prefer 7 years of eCommerce Supply Chain experience
