For this reason, we have founded our new global Data-driven Analytics (DDA) unit that leverages our data landscape, our technical solutions, and our Data Science & IT expertise in order to develop and launch a new premium analytics offering for our clients. DDA will both develop “as a service” analytics products and offer premium Data Science/analytics consultancy on a project-basis.

For our DDA unit, which will combine agile start-up atmosphere with the advantages of a Global Player, we are looking for a(Associate) Director, Data Management & Strategy, who will be responsible for driving important topics related to managing and optimally leveraging our DDA data landscape. Leave your footprint and make an impact on Company’s position in the analytics market!
Concrete tasks will include
• understanding data requirements for all DDA products and ad hoc offerings, defining important data management principles and prioritizing tasks,
• defining data partnership strategies – identifying, managing and collaborating with
(a) internal data partners and providers, and
(b) in collaboration and close alignment with our Company strategy and data partnership team: external data partners and providers;
including development of service level agreements, blueprints and templates for quality & suitability checks, etc.
• collaborating with Company’s subject-matter experts to further refine the legal perspective on data handling and management,
• developing an overview and a clear understanding of useful external data sources (e.g., open data, web APIs,…) for DDA’s products and projects in order to help our Data Scientists, Technology experts and Consultants offer comprehensive data-driven insights,
• developing strategic options on the seamless integration of client and Company data with focus on maximizing client value and trust,
• informing important Data Science and Technology processes and decisions (pipelining, data sourcing, on-premise / cloud computing) and making sure operative data handling is in line with the data strategy and management principles,
• understanding and monitoring trends with regard to data-driven business models in order to collaboratively and continuously refining DDA’s strategy and filling the innovation pipeline,
• ensuring alignment and synergy effects with the overall Company data strategy.
Requirements
This role will have an enormous influence on core processes and future innovation withing Company’s DDA unit. The candidate should enjoy and be comfortable with talking to colleagues and stakeholders with different backgrounds – e.g., legal experts, Data Scientists, Technology experts, internal and external data providers.
Experience in similar settings will help to succeed and to ensure a quick ramp-up.
We are looking for team players with a hands-on approach, who appreciate the opportunity to work in an international environment on product developments and projects of strategic importance. A close collaboration with both our consulting/business experts and our Data Science experts is a must – we are all part of one new, integrated team and work towards the same objective!
Developing scalable data products will be at the core of our DDA unit. Therefore, a good understanding of data-driven business models and how data-driven decision making works will be very helpful. First experiences with or at least the ability to quickly understand the data landscape of a global market research player such as Company will support a quick start, too.
Further requirements include:
• Very good communication skills – able to connect to internal and external stakeholders, data partners, senior leaders,
• experience in negotiating data-related contracts based on the business value,
• the ability to quickly get an overview of complex situations, to define processes and prioritize tasks,
• a good understanding of strategic options within the space of data-driven analytics,
• experience in formulating consistent data strategies and translating them into to dos of immediate importance,
• ability to confidently and clearly communicate in an English business environment (required),
• a solid understanding of IT-related, methodological, and legal challenges when it comes to data handling and processing (pipelining, handling of data updates, data privacy,…)
Education and work experience required:
• Typically: Master’s degree or PHD with focus on business administration, computer science, software engineering, quantitative techniques or related areas, but we are open to other educational backgrounds as long as the individual skill profile and personality meet our requirements and fit into the team.
