Associate Windows Designer (Graphic Design Focus) - Tommy Hilfiger
The Associate Windows Designer supports the Window, Showroom & Full Price Visual Merchandising teams for all projects within Full Price Retail, Company Stores & Wholesale.
Responsible for creating visual concepts based on seasonal & project needs.
Ideal candidate should be able to take direction from written or spoken ideas & convert them into digital files. Must have a strong knowledge of typography, color, layout & measurements. Needs to be agile & able to work on multiple projects, react quickly to change & updates throughout the brainstorming process. Work well in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Visually bring seasonal direction & inspiration from VP & Director to life across all Full Price, Company Store & Wholesale
Design wide range of window build outs including 2D & 3D graphics, renderings.
Responsible for creating all digital files from initial brainstorming through production for all projects
Develop seasonal props to scale. Must be able to read store drawings & have strong knowledge of space, lighting & proportion
Develop & produce window decals across all areas. Support team on design, create artwork to proper scale & communicate production needs with outside vendor
Able to assist in silhouetting objects & mannequins across all areas of business
Support team in creation & layout of seasonal communication documents
Compile all digital files into PDF’s for meetings & emails
Partner with team on decision-making when creating store renderings, documents & seasonal needs
Offer examples, options, ideas & recommendations through knowledge of typography, graphic layouts, lighting, proportions & measurements
Collaborate with Showroom & VM teams on group projects
Monitor competitive market, keeping up with trends in windows & creative industry
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree; BFA, preferred
2-3+ years of proven graphic design experience
Up to date with industry leading software & technology
Experience in print production is a bonus
Strong and expert knowledge and skillset in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), Auto CAD, SketchUP, Maya, Max a plus
Strong MAC Skills (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and MS Outlook)
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Ability to communicate (written and oral) effectively and establish an excellent rapport with cross-functional departments
Ability articulate ideas and present to groups
Ability to prioritize and work on a number of different projects at once. Attention to detail, organization and great follow-up skills are essential
Ability to handle multiple tasks / projects with adherence to deadlines is essential Must be flexible and adapt to changing trends of business and/or projects
Highly creative and adaptable, out-of-the-box, thinker. Has ability to juggle and interpret multiple opinions and ideas democratically into one concise vision. Must be able to find the best solutions and develop methods to improve efficiency
Ability to travel locally to stores & vendor appointments
