About the Role
As part of the Men's Merchandising team, the Associate Buyer will develop, execute, and own merchandise strategies and assortment plans based on client feedback and preferences to deliver financial goals and business objectives. You will own and manage the Men's denim business.

• Serve a critical part in building a new and growing business.
• Develop strategies to maximize departmental opportunities.
• Lead a cross-functional team to execute against departmental strategies.
• Drive seasonal line plans across all branded and Exclusive Brands product lines.
• Work collaboratively with Buying team to ensure cohesiveness of total product offered.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with cross-functional partners and new and existing vendors.
• Actively and responsibly manage departmental Open To Buy.
• Analyze selling date to inform future purchase.
• React in season to sales trends to optimize results.
We’re excited about you because...
• You have a Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of experience in a retail buying role.
• You have prior buying experience in Men's apparel categories. Experience in buying denim is beneficial, but not required.
• You are passionate about mentoring and developing others, with 1-2 years of experience managing others preferred.
• You are analytical and enjoy using client feedback to drive assortment decisions.
• You are passionate about ensuring that all buying and product creation decisions are anchored in the client's best interest.
• You excel in a start-up atmosphere where change is the norm.
• You have strong negotiation skills.
• You are a self starter.
• You have strong oral and written communication skills.
• You are comfortable taking calculated risks to achieve results.
• You have a keen eye for menswear and experience spotting and reacting to trends across the market.
• You are able to travel up to 25% of the time.
