The Associate Market Research Analyst supports the Market Research Manager and Analysts team with project support tasks, including: survey programming & QA, analysis & reporting, incentive fulfillment, recruitment, and other project executional logistics. The Associate Market Research Analyst will also participate in ongoing tasks and occasional process improvement projects to support and improve departmental efficiency and effectiveness, and assist the Lead Librarian with activities related to Daily Industry News publication.
Primary responsibilities include:
Research Project Support: Support Market Research Analysts & Managers with execution of primary market research projects. Specific tasks include:
• Recruitment support (screening calls, interview scheduling, email confirmations)
• Proofing, Programming, and Testing online surveys
• Respondent incentive administration
• Assisting w/research project respondent recruitment
• Pulling data from completed surveys for Analysts
• Coding open-ended responses
Daily Industry News Publication: Support Lead Librarian with publication of Daily Industry News (DIN). Specific tasks include:
• Vetting news stories in Lexis/Nexis database for inclusion in DIN
• Writing annotations for DIN story entries
• Applying metadata tags to DIN items and uploading into knowledge base archive
• Preparing and distributing DIN email
• Standing in for Lead Librarian for full DIN publication – both on a standing occasional basis (e.g. 1x/week) and as needed to cover LL absences.
General Departmental Support:
Participates in various ongoing tasks and occasional “side” projects to support and improve departmental efficiency and effectiveness. Example tasks may include:
• Maintaining departmental internal websites – MI Central (stakeholder-facing) and Sharepoint (internal use) – uploading files, updating content, reorganizing, etc.
Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree required
• Professional experience in a corporate setting
• Experience in market research preferred
Physical Requirements
• Might be in a stationary position for a considerable time (sitting and/or standing).
• The person in this position needs to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
• Must be able to collaborate with colleagues via face to face, conference calls, and online meetings.
