Assistant Producer Program Overview
The Assistant Producer (AP) Internship program is designed to provide an overview of the AP role and its function within the Company live broadcast. Through the Internship program you will have the unique opportunity of being a part of a live, 24/7, studio environment and will gain insight on how shows are planned, items are sold and how support is utilized to enhance the sell. In addition, you will shadow several live show positions and learn how the AP's interact with the live show team, talent and partners.
A Day in the Life
• Achieve Company’s internship program global objectives
◦ Understand the company’s mission and strategy and develop an understanding of how the global plan helps define business unit strategy and goals.
◦ Develop an understanding of divisional organizational structure and the cross-functional relationships that the business unit has with other parts of the business.
◦ Gain practical industry experience in a profession that aligns to desired career path.
• Overview of the Internship Opportunity
◦ Learn how to review all support material listed in the notes.
◦ Learn how to meet with the guests, partners and hosts to discuss product support and presentation orders.
◦ Learn how to coordinate Host walk-ons and Guest/Partner Meetings.
◦ Learn how the AP's work closely with the On-Air Producer to make sure all the show needs are met. Shadow an On-Air Producer and learn how the two teams collaborate.
◦ Learn how the AP’s role functions during the pre-pro meetings.
◦ Learn how the AP support the Live Show Integrations, Spotlights and Social Media hits.
◦ Learn about the Shop the Show initiative.
◦ Learn how to execute the top of the hour promos when utilizing models.
◦ Participates and learns how to add support in show notes and learn how to send out Show Note Feedback on notes.
◦ Participate in the production meetings that discuss future shows and expectations.
◦ Participates in a special event and/or fixed programming.
Keys to Success
Must Haves
◦ Working towards a Bachelors Degree in a related field with the ability to obtain course credit through the college or university for unpaid program
◦ Commit at least 20 consistently scheduled hours per week; interns can work up to 40 hours per week and will have the opportunity to meet the hourly requirements of the university
◦ Proficient in Microsoft office programs
◦ If not local, temporary relocation to St. Petersburg, FL.
◦ Classes in Television Producing or Production. Some retail experience is helpful, but not required
◦ Detail-oriented, good at time managing projects and meeting timelines/deadlines
◦ Must be able to participate in a minimum of 2-3 days per week, with punctuality and regular attendance.
◦ 8 to 12 weeks at minimum, depending upon length of semester
◦ Juniors and seniors preferred

◦ Strong verbal and written communication skills
◦ Creative and analytical skills
◦ Some experience dealing with Customers or Guests
