Assistant, Urban Marketing
Job Description:

Department Description:
Responsible for supporting the senior marketing staff with the development of comprehensive strategies for marketing our artists as well as coordinating all efforts (internally and with outside parties) on all projects.
High Level Job Description:
Provide administrative and marketing support for Product Managers.
Detailed Job Description/ Responsibilities:
• Coordinate various artist projects and activities with other Atlantic departments
• Develop new marketing strategies and ideas with Product Managers and respective departments
• Design images and graphics to be used for artist proposals and one sheets
• Monitor artist’s website, Facebook, ,Youtube and various online activities
• Research and study new consumer trends
• Write copies for various promotional tools such as Sell Sheets, Websites, and Email blasts.
• Keep department stocked with supplies
• Answer phones professionally and keep track of calls received
• Attend weekly staff meeting, take notes and distribute to the department.
• Attend product development meeting and takes notes to distribute to the department.
• Generate merchandise requests to the art department.
• Submit mastering requests through production.
• Oversee gravity projects in respect to designated artists.
• Keep phone telephone list up to date on desk
• Plan and organize meetings for Product Managers and Department Heads
• Manage and support artist events with outside vendors and venues
• Attend events, parties, and shows to form relationships with contacts at other record labels, agencies, and entertainment companies
• Participate in meetings to discuss current and upcoming marketing and promotional plans
• Update artist calendars, timelines, schedules, and one-sheets weekly
• Run Soundscan, and Mediabase for internal distribution and to respective managers, agents, and outside marketing agencies
• Interpret and report radio promotion research reports and radio feedback, and circulate weekly updates to entire company
• Act as a liaison between product managers and artist's management
• Liaise with outside marketing and street team companies and provide tools such as posters, stickers, CDs, samplers and music
• Update Product Manager’s calendars and schedules daily
• File travel and expense reports
• Interview and hire interns for each semester
• Mentor and provide direction for interns assigned to the department
• Manage department/ staff travel calendar
• Manage artist glam team and budgets
• Manage department, and artist specific events - budget, planning, and execution
• Updating the company on single and video launches - coordinate with sales team
• Manage asset delivery to production department
• Keep the following reports up to date daily & weekly:
Soundscan
BDS report on all urban acts
Video report
Artist calendars
Web report
Production schedule
Artist Stat Sheets
Bi-Weekly Highlights
Latest & Greatest Reports

Education Required:
• At least one year of music experience preferred.
