Job Description:
Colgate University, a Division I member of the Patriot League Conference and ECAC, seeks a highly motivated individual for the position of Assistant Director of Sports Performance. This position is a 10-month appointment with full health and retirement benefits over 12-months.
Reporting directly to the Director of Strength and Conditioning; the individual hired will be responsible for all facets of the strength & conditioning program for specified men's and women's varsity sports. This includes ensuring a safe and effective working environment in the varsity weight room, strength and conditioning program development and implementation for assigned sports and working closely with the sports medicine program within university, conference and NCAA rules and regulations. This position will represent Sports Performance as liaison with the Campus Dietitian as well as other student-athlete wellness constituents on and off campus. This position will also be responsible for coordinating sport nutrition and wellness programming and services for student-athletes across all sport programs.

Qualifications
(Education and Experience):
• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Health, Physical Education, Nutrition, or related field is required
• Certification in one or more of the following: CSCS (NSCA), SCCC (CSCCa), USAW-SP (USAW)
• Strong work ethic and excellent communication skills required
• Prior coaching experience and/or graduate assistantship or internship in a Collegiate Strength & Conditioning setting
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
• Master's degree in Exercise Science, Health, Physical Education, Nutrition, or related field
• One year of coaching at the collegiate level
• Strong background in teaching or coaching Olympic/Ground-based movements
• Demonstrated knowledge of sports nutrition
