ROLE of the POSITION
Reporting to the Senior Associate Athletic Director for External Affairs, this position will play a vital part in a comprehensive resource development program in support of UNLV Rebel Athletics. The successful candidate will be a proven advancement professional with a record of success identifying, developing, stewarding and expanding philanthropic and/or revenue based relationships in an athletics-based, higher education setting.
This position will be a leadership role in a growing major-gifts division within the Rebel Athletic Fund (RAF). In addition to major-gift level fundraising, the position will support external engagement efforts with the Rebel Athletics Annual Fund, will advance efforts to increase ticket-based revenue, and will work extensively across the community of Las Vegas to expand the support base for Rebel Athletics.
QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires a Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited college or university and a minimum three years related professional experience. Master's Degree preferred. In addition, the successful candidate will have direct experience leading or serving in an athletics-based, major-gifts fundraising/resource development (to include sponsorship) program; possess a record of success securing major-gift level philanthropy in a higher education and/or athletics environment; experience with corporate engagement, corporate fundraising, revenue generation and sponsorship; proven ability to shape, write, deliver and close major-gift philanthropic proposals; strong communications and organizational skills; competency/proficiency working with donor management software/database systems (specifically Advantage and Raiser's Edge); ability to develop/generate reports dictating status relative to defined goals; a detail oriented collaborative disposition, and working knowledge of Mountain West Conference (MWC) and NCAA rules and regulations.
SALARY RANGE
Salary competitive with those at similarly situated institutions. Position is contingent upon funding.
