Mount Saint Mary College (MSMC) in Newburgh, New York seeks an Assistant Director of Athletics. Serving as the Assistant Director of Athletics, the individual who holds this position will report to the Director of Athletics.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Company websitee the Compliance Officer and the implementation of all NCAA Division III compliance/regulations, Title IX, and college and/or state policies
Company website with the Athletic Director to ensure necessary reports are filed to include EADA filing and all reports for NCAA.
Company website as the building supervisor and coordinate building staff for the daily running of the athletic facilities.
Company websitesible for game day management to ensure effective game day administration, including the coordination of game day staff. Company websitesible for coordinating team practice and gym schedules.
Company website as the intercollegiate athletic scheduling coordinator.
Company website in department purchasing matters.
Company website with the college’s event scheduler to manage gym, field, and pool rentals by outside groups.
Company website the absence of the Athletic Director, assist with the supervision of the athletic staff.
Company website in the oversight of the SAAC program and Knights in the Community.
Company websiteent the athletic department at student athletic contests.
Company websiteent the college on Skyline Conference matters, NCAA and ECAC committees, and other regional associations when applicable. Company websitep collaborative and effective relationships with various campus offices, including but not limited to admissions, financial aid, registrar, student accounts, academic affairs, etc.
Company website duties as assigned by Director of Athletics, Dean of Student Affairs and/or the Vice President for Students in accordance with the Department of Athletics, the Skyline Conference, the NCAA and other related associations and regulations.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
• Two - four years of full-time, professional experience in athletic administration; experience working with NCAA compliance is required.
• College coaching/recruiting experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Demonstrated flexibility and professionalism, with a high standard of personal conduct and integrity.
• This position requires the ability to work independently and will be required to work evenings and weekends.
