James Madison University, a Division I Member of the NCAA and Colonial Athletic Association, is seeking an Assistant Director of the Duke Club - Annual Fund in the Athletics Development Office. This position will report to the Associate Athletic Director/Director of the Duke Club. The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Duke Club in efforts to reach annual fundraising goals.
Other duties include but are not limited to:
• Conduct 175-200 visits annually with current and prospective Duke Club members.
• Oversee/manage the DC25 program, aimed at increasing Duke Club membership of recent JMU alumni.
• Oversee/manage Duke Club events and regions in Charlottesville, Richmond, Hampton Roads, Fredericksburg and potentially other areas.
• Assist the director in overall management of the Duke Club system of fundraising volunteers.
• Assist in the day-to-day management of website content, social media, communications and other duties as assigned.
• Execute assigned duties at JMU sporting events.
Required qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree; master's degree is preferred.
• Ability to work nights and weekends.
• Must be able to travel extensively.
• 1 - 3 years of full-time fundraising experience, preferably in intercollegiate athletics.
• Time management skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
