Specific Responsibilities
Buying
• Assists during market with product selection and assortment strategies.
• Assists with stylemaster set-up and maintenance.
• Makes recommendations for driving sales based on sales reports.
• Updating and managing the assortment sheets (inclusive of cost, quantities, NDC dates, and all attributes)
Product Logistics/Tracking
• Maintains planned receipt flow and insures adherence to scheduled shipping windows on a consistent basis. Liaises with cross functional partners to ensure availability and timely delivery of merchandise in addition to in store product placement.
• Partners with cross functional team members to mitigate any potential delays in product flow and communicates any delays or changes to Buyer, corporate team as well as store management.
Reporting & Analysis
• Effectively utilizes the merchandising systems to create run, and maintain weekly, daily, seasonal and/or ad-hoc merchandising reports and prepares reports to allow for interpretation of the business.
• Partners with Buyer to make recommendations to drive sales based on sales trends, key item performance, inventory levels and age, and other business metrics.
Sample Management
• Manage sample set prior to assortment review.
• Ensure hindsight samples are pulled and organized.
Skills and Requirements
• College degree required; merchandising or business degree or coursework preferred
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in planning/buying preferred
• High level computer proficiency
• Advance Microsoft Excel skills preferred (lookup functions, array formulas, pivot tables and data management)
• Strong business analysis skills with propensity to suggest and drive solutions
• Organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Comfortable with team based work structure
• Ability to demonstrate flexibility
• Ability to manage multiple projects and shift priorities in a fast passed environment
• Demonstrates initiative, is conscientious and provides complete follow through on aspects of responsibility
