Assistant Athletic Director for Student Athlete Enhancement Springfield College Springfield, MA
Springfield College invites applications for the position of Assistant Athletic Director. This is a full time, twelve month position, reporting to the Director of Athletics.
Springfield College provides its students with a unique athletic program, grounded in the College’s Humanics Philosophy that allows the pursuit of athletic excellence without sacrificing educational values. Springfield College offers twenty-six varsity sports that compete at the
National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III level, with twenty sports represented in the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC).
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will oversee marketing and promotions, assist with home event management, serve as administrative liaison to the Student Athlete Leadership Team, coordinate student athlete support services, serve as the liaison to governing bodies for reports, grants, programs and awards, approve requests for research and surveys, oversee departmental events including, but not limited to, student-athlete recognition events, the Athletic Hall of Fame and fundraising events, and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Master’s degree is required.
A minimum of three years of progressive and successful intercollegiate athletic administration and/or coaching experience is required.
Strong communication skills as well as exceptional time management, organizational and interpersonal skills are required.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to perform and complete multiple tasks in a timely and professional manner, have working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations, and demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively within the context of a broad based intercollegiate athletics program.
During the academic year in particular, evening and weekend work will be required.
Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
