Reporting to The Senior Associate Athletic Director/Executive Director of the Mountaineer Athletic Club (MAC), this individual will be responsible for planning, organizing and directing a comprehensive annual giving program for the MAC by developing initiatives and programs to maximize revenues in order to achieve annual fundraising goals, objectives and strategies. This individual will also oversee the priority seating, parking and points programs for football, men's basketball, baseball, postseason games and other athletic events for the WVU Department of Intercollegiate Athletics in conjunction with the WVU Foundation, WVU Sports Marketing Office and the Mountaineer Ticket Office. This individual will manage a portfolio of high-end annual fund and major gift donors and prospects, as defined by working with the WVU Foundation, from initial identification, qualification, cultivation, proposal development, solicitation and through stewardship. The Assistant Athletic Director for Annual Giving will direct, manage, supervise and establish goals for the Associate Director of Annual Giving. The Assistant Athletic Director for Annual Giving will be tasked to provide leadership and guidance to the Associate Director of Annual Giving, the Mountaineer Ticket Office and the Sports Marketing Office on facilitating the annual online seat selection process for football and men’s basketball powered through Ballena Technologies. The chosen candidate will serve as the fundraising liaison between the Mountaineer Athletic Club and up to two designated varsity sports programs. The Assistant Athletic Director for Annual Giving will also oversee the cultivation, solicitation, stewardship and benefits administration of the Wheels Club program, which consists of approximately 50 dealerships and 70+ vehicles that are utilized by WVU coaches and athletic administrators. This position will assist with gameday hosting and entertainment of donors at various sporting events while also providing a high-level of customer service and maintaining a consistently positive attitude. A bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree is preferred. Relevant experience may be substituted for a Master's degree. Minimum of three years of progressive development experience. Experience with intercollegiate athletics, particularly Division I experience preferred. Direct experience working with and managing capital giving projects and donors preferred. Must have knowledge and understanding of NCAA rules and regulations.
