We have an opening for an experienced, innovative, strategic Assistant Academic Editor (Project Status Worker) in our Columbus, OH office. Does this sound like you?
Reporting to the Director, Academic Design, theAssistant Academic Editor (Project Status Worker) will be responsible for assembling high- quality content based on specific product requirements
Critical Functions:
• Plan and develop content for digital and print products.
• Correlate educational materials to national and state reading standards.
• Communicate project requirements to authors, consultants, and freelance editors.
• Prepare manuscript, ensuring accuracy, readability, and grade-appropriateness in accordance with project specifications.
• Work in a Content Management System to assemble and produce educational content.
• Work on digital products with tasks such as metadata tagging, concept mapping, and digital editing.
• Complete photo and art requisition forms.
• Monitor and evaluate pedagogical and content area research and trends.
• Maintain and meet project schedules.
• Create efficient workflow processes.
• Align planning, prototyping, and product requirements for products.
• Perform other editorial duties as assigned.
A successful candidate will have:
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Excellent English language skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and time-management skills.
• Experience working with digital products.
• Must be able to work extensively in a team environment.
• The successful candidate must be organized, and detail- and deadline-oriented.
A successful candidate may have:
• Previous elementary school teaching experience
• Experience with Content Management Systems
