We're looking for a talented Art Director to craft, manage, and lead our brand identity. Quip is on a mission to change the way teams work together. We're doing this building a new class of productivity tool that every person at every company enjoys using every single day.
The ideal candidate has significant experience designing beautiful, highly-effective web sites with user-focus, creative thought, and pixel perfect execution. This person must be able to understand the underlying business objectives, rapidly problem solve though mockups, and positively respond to creative feedback.
A large part of this role with be creating and managing Company website, but you will also drive the company's brand across all other mediums: print, merchandise, advertisement, photography, video, and everything else that carries Quip's image.
Responsibilities:
• Create and manage all visual design, photography, and video content for Quip consumer and business marketing and branding across key touch points: advertising, interactive media, in-product experiences, email, social media, co-marketing, and brand
• Execute all visual design stages with an understanding of responsive design on the web, information architecture, personas, and use-cases.
• Evolve, manage, and enforce the Quip brand guidelines
• Lead and prioritize creative project schedules to ensure deadlines and goals are met
• Collaborate with engineering, marketing, business leadership, product, and customer support teams
Qualifications:
• At least 5 years of creative studio experience with 3+ years in a Communications Design leadership or management role at a top branding agency, advertising agency, or with a consumer technology brand
• Exceptional skills in graphic design and typography, preferably with experience in digital and/or consumer lifestyle products
• Experience working closely with web developers and a basic understanding of how things are built
• Knowledge of design fundamentals including brand identity, layout, color, typography, voice, and photography
• Effective communication skills across all levels of an organization - from individual contributors to executive staff
• A great attitude and sense of humor
