TQ Education & Training (part of the Company Group) is a provider of outsourced training services to the UK Ministry of Defence, other public sector organisations and private companies both in the UK and overseas.
As a key member of the Company TQ (PTQ) cross-functional Business Development and Operational Teams, your role will be to support the conversion of sales leads into sales and manage the transition of new business into operational steady state.
Overall Responsibilities
• Support the identification and cultivation of customer relationships with existing and new customers: key account management
• Grow business within and outside the MOD (other public services, industry) through the conversion of opportunities: business development
• Lead on the implementation and transition of new business and new standards: operations
Specific Responsibilities
• Working alongside the Apprenticeship Manager, responsible for the co-ownership and development of the PTQ apprenticeship strategic plan and its success, progression and development, including the creation and ownership of the stakeholder communication strategy. You will ensure that all those involved in the successful delivery of PTQ’s apprenticeship programme are fully informed and supportive of the programme’s main aims and goals.
• Creation and development of new and existing apprenticeship opportunities. Leverage expertise from across the business to build winning apprenticeship solutions, through competitive processes and/or single source relationships.
• Contribute to the tendering process and bid production of new and existing business and programmes (focussing on the operational elements) when required.
• Lead on allocated Apprenticeship tenders, their application and contract transition processes including liaising with key stakeholders such as internal Company UK (PUK) legal, Operations, HR, Procurement and any other stakeholders to ensure the process is legally and morally compliant.
• Assist contract teams with the development of new opportunities in their existing contracts.
• Act as an SME on Apprenticeships (including Functional Skills).
• Ensure that your up to date knowledge of current specifications for apprenticeship frameworks and standards is maintained and is able to be fully explained, responding to queries on apprenticeships to a range of stakeholders including customers, PTQ and PUK senior leaders/managers.
• Support the BD Director in the cultivation and development of new and existing customer relationships with respect to apprenticeships.
• Lead in the transition from contract win to delivery: act as project/contract manager for implementation as necessary.
• Promote brand usage on all learning, training and assessment material.
Qualifications
Knowledge & Skills
• Strong written skills: you will need to be able to write compelling, clear sales and operations briefs and be able to build viable proposals and solutions that contain robust and comprehensive financials.
• Knowledge of apprenticeships: you should have a detailed understanding of the apprenticeship landscape, Trailblazers, Levy Funding, Frameworks to Standards and Functional Skills.
• You should have extensive Sector experience of all aspects of Apprenticeships.
• Demonstrable track record of success in contract transition and of developing productive relationships with a variety of stakeholders and customers.
• Confident and effective in front of the (potential) customer.
• Be able to work to a team plan but under your own initiative
• Knowledge of Salesforce (desirable)
