DESCRIPTION:
The Application Developer, Service Management is responsible for the development, and administration, of Company’ ServiceNow platform. In addition, the individual will play a key role in projects to expand the use of ServiceNow at Company.
Responsibilities:
• Perform software configuration and customization including, but not limited to: screen tailoring, workflow administration, report setup, data imports, integration, custom scripting and third party software integrations.
• Administer the ServiceNow Application
• Core configuration administration- navigation, search, UI, manage lists and forms, create/modify business rules and client scripts, activate plugins
• Core application administration - build business rules for events and notifications, perform upgrades and patches, manage application security
• Service level administration- creates and manages reports; configure Service Level Agreements (SLA) within the tool.
• User/License administration - user access, roles, groups, profiles
• Data management - manage data with tables and CMDB, manage data with import sets and update sets
• Administration of Knowledge Base and Service Catalog. Build and test workflows for Service Catalog
• Develop and enhance ServiceNow
• Manage monthly enhancement schedule and ensure all other developers/administrators are following established standards
• Develop web services using java scripts for API’s with other applications
• Develop new features using XML, workflow, and other related technology and tools
• Work with Infrastructure, Security, and service providers to conduct proof of concept, design, and implement CMDB, Mobile Reach, facilities management, automation, and other modules/integrations as needed
• Work with IT and Business stakeholders to design and implement functions in ServiceNow to support the business needs.
• Develop, design and rollout new application modules, workflows and catalog requests
• Work with the vendor (ServiceNow) to ensure Company gets the maximum value for products and services.
• Serve as the technical lead for new projects and point of contact for new initiatives.
• Serve as the primary owner for ServiceNow development and maintenance.
• Research new functionality and recommend solutions that deliver customer value.
• Be on the team rotation for managing Change Control Board meetings
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
• Certifications in ITIL and/or ServiceNow desired
• Solid communication and collaboration skills across a diverse group of internal and external colleagues and consultants
• Three years’ experience supporting the implementation, administration, configuration, and/or development of ServiceNow including scripting, tool configuration, design work, technical configuration and deployment
• Experience in Java Scripting is required
• Experience in web development preferred
• Experience with working or developing in any one of the following programming languages: HTML, PHP, C, Java, Perl, Jelly
• Functional experience in ServiceNow modules such as Incident, Knowledge, Change, and Service Catalog
• Understanding of Configuration Management as it relates to ITIL, CMDB and asset management experience preferred
• Experience with Web Services Integration (SOAP, REST, and JSON) desired
• Experience in both agile and waterfall methodologies desired
• Administration of ServiceNow including the delegation of groups, workflows, business rules, UI actions, UI policies, ACL’s, catalog items and updates of all other existing solutions requiring revisions
