Overview
The Analytics/UC Coordinator role will span all of artist analytics and unclaimed properties management as well as serve as back up to the Vendor Coordinator. From a business perspective, he/she will liaise with the ES Business Group as well as other Company business units, including Label BA, that create, approve and are affected by the data and information used by Entertainment Services. The role is to help support our current operating landscape. Support functions also entail follow through on new features, training, data conversions, migrations, implementations and roll outs of systems changes which impact the analytics and UC management area.
Responsibilities
The Analytics/Unclaimed Properties Coordinator’s responsibilities may include but will not be limited to the following:
• Manage the artist analytics inquiries to successful closure, escalating issues when necessary to the Client Services Manager. (Artist Analytics is Sony Music’s Premier Artist Portal which allows artist transparency to their statement information)
• Ensure timely processing and reporting for all states which Company reports unclaimed properties; includes running reports, removal of identified participants, clearing of payments, and coordination of 1 year limitation for waiting on paperwork.
• Back up to the Vendor Coordinator; processing vendor changes, 1099/B Notice Support.
• Perform user acceptance testing and support the business office during user acceptance testing.
• Ensure the inquiry results satisfy customer needs.
• Provide an end to end perspective when providing solutions.
• Coordinate analytics training activities to team members
• Identifies areas of potential risk and reports issues to Management
• Foster and promote a positive and collaborative working relationship within the ES group.
• Other Special Projects as necessitated by business demands
Qualifications
• Minimum of (2) years of professional business experience
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a business course of study
• Strong knowledge of Word and Excel
• Creativity and problem solving in a complex, unstructured, fast-paced environment
• Ability to effectively present information, interact with, and respond to questions from groups of managers and employees
• Superior listening skills, with the ability to summarize verbal communication and discussions into relevant written materials and documentation
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain objective and calm in difficult situations
• Ability to work effectively as a member of multiple teams
• Good time management skills
• Self motivated and highly organized
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision
• Prior experience in music/media industries
• SAP, Royalty and Customer Service experience a plus
• Strong research skills
• Ability to handle simultaneous projects, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact well with different levels within the organization.
• Ability to work well in a collaborative, team oriented environment.
