Responsibilities
As the a Payroll Finance Analyst, you will perform the day to day tasks associated with ensuring accurate payroll financial reporting and integration of the payroll reporting activities with financial operations. You will have a hand in maintaining NBCU's financial integrity by ensuring compliance with SOX and other financial regulatory requirements.
Here what you’ll do in this role
Ensure the accuracy of weekly / biweekly payroll postings
Process weekly / biweekly payroll postings through general ledger system
Review payroll results and confirm accuracy of payroll
Research questions from internal departments related to payroll postings
Coordinate with business units to resolve issues with payroll postings due to invalid accounting codes, department changes, and incorrect postings
• Coordinate with Business Integration teams relating to wage type configuration from testing and through to production
Prepare payroll account reconciliations and variance analysis
• Reconcile payroll liability / expense accounts
• Reconcile multiple payroll zero-net general ledger accounts
• Process journal entries
Prepare monthly entries, accruals, reversals, adjustments, and other accounting transactions
Prepare monthly account reconciliations, account analysis, variance analysis or other analytics to ensure a complete and accurate financial close
Create new report formats, tracking tools and improve existing ones to analyze, project and record results
Analyze and document business processes and problems.
Contribute to the successful completion of daily, month-end, quarterly and annual close processes in a timely and accurate manner

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications

You have a Bachelor's degree
You have a minimum of 1 year of experience in GL reconciliation and accounting
You have a minimum of 1 year of accounting experience
You have advanced Excel capabilities including pivot tables & filtering
