DESCRIPTION:
The Analyst IT Finance is responsible for supporting the Apptio technology business management system on a daily basis. This includes data management, allocation model configuration, report configuration, validation and troubleshooting, and actioning new system requirements based on a current business needs. The individual will be responsible for creating monthly and quarterly forecast reports,, which include variance analysis for each area of IS&T, while tracking overall IS&T operating costs against budget. The individual will play an integral role in the annual budget process and run annual allocation models for each business entity support by IS&T.
Responsibilities:
• Creates and maintains Apptio financial reports
• Works with IS&T management to ensure adequate understanding of division allocations and ensure that divisions receive adequate documentation to meet divisional requirements
• Responsible for allocation modeling calculations
• Issues monthly financial statements for cost centers. Explains variances between actual and budget/estimates
• Prepares/reviews budgets/quarterly estimates, including analysis and reporting for P&L for each area
• Prepares monthly P&L reporting and variance analysis and communicates monthly results to department heads
• Utilizes knowledge to manage expenses, make recommendations for savings and alert management to risks
• Develops in depth knowledge of the business entities/department(s) supported as well as cable, online and entertainment industries to provide optional support.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum 3-5 years experience working in finance
• Strong technical skills, predominately Excel
• Oracle Financials, TM1, and similar financial systems is necessary
• Apptio or similar IT Business/Finance Management System Experience required
• Strong communication skills necessary for building relationships with senior management and the Financial Organization
• Detailed oriented and able to work under pressure with tight deadlines
