Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY: The IT Asset Management Analyst is a key member of the IT Asset Management team focused on ensuring the accuracy of enterprise IT hardware assets and the effective use of enterprise licensed software. The IT Asset Management Analyst will work with software and hardware products to understand license metrics for specific products as well as in developing inventories used to support distribution and asset compliance. These inventories include owned, leased, and used inventories. These inventories are produced by effective communication between the Asset Analyst and Business partners to decide on the appropriate equipment to be purchased, acquire the needed approvals and use business systems to procure the needed assets. The IT Asset Management Analyst will also maintain constant communication with its customer base (Business Departments, IT, Procurement, Legal, etc.) and therefore will require skills for relationship management, collaboration, customer service and negotiation. This position will also provide assistance with the installation of computer-related hardware and software.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Perform the necessary steps to procure any hardware and software requested from the various departments and projects for UC using corporate methods. Receive and asset tag any purchased hardware and software. Maintain accurate inventory for user by the team and review by management.
•Apply the basic image supplied by UC User Support Administrator to any new hardware received and ready for deployment.
•Conduct physical inventories and then compare the results against the information in the asset management system for accuracy and correct and discrepancies.
•Maintain a software licensing database of action items and status of license reviews and calendar.
•Assist with the deployment and disposal of computer-related hardware and software.
•Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
•Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
•1 to 2 years knowledge of asset management, inventory management, or contract management with a working knowledge of software reporting tools, asset repositories and discovery tools.
•Ability to interpret contract terms and conditions in licensing details including third party restrictions, platform and location restrictions, multiple core counts and other technical options.
•Strong Microsoft Excel and Access skills.
•Strong customer/team interaction skills
•Good verbal and written communications skills.
•Detailed oriented.
•Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
•Ability to work independently and comprehend issues involving little to no concrete variables in non-standard situations as well as problems that are undocumented.
•Ability to comprehend the work flow as needed during the day or event. Requires the use of sound business judgment in following outlined instructions and requirements of the various user group(s) in the business.
•Ability to read and interpret technical documents and effectively present information for one-on-one and small group situations.
Consistent attendance is a job requirement.
Education: High school degree or GED is required. Technical school, Associate’s degree (AA), and Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Experience: 1 to 2 years knowledge of asset management, inventory management, or contract management with a working knowledge of software reporting tools, asset repositories and discovery tools. Additionally, strong Microsoft Excel and Access skills are necessary.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Job requires person to walk and be on their feet for extended periods of time. Conditions vary from season to season as 90% of the work is warehouse work and walking across property. Heat, humidity, rain, wind, cold, pollen, a/c and varying temperatures are part of the conditions the job requires to complete tasks. Work area ranges from open area, close quarters, bench, table, desk, counter and portable stands in various locations. Service pace is very fast and varies from area to area, recognition of issues needs to be weighed against other competing issues. Hours of positions cover from early morning to late nights. Other duties will apply as assigned. Travel opportunity maybe available for training, assisting partnering parks and/or growing support roles.
