We believe creativity and technology are at the heart of advertising and the Tumblr team helps to drive innovation for our advertisers. The Tumblr Specialist team is the go-to source and subject matter expert on all things Tumblr for advertisers. In coordination with the Yahoo account team, Tumblr Sales Specialists work with brands and agencies to leverage the Tumblr platform, audience, ad products, and suite of analytics to exceed their advertising and drive Tumblr revenue.

We are looking for someone that can inspire, motivate and compel people to think differently. You should be a strategic thinker who is good at understanding the emerging parts of the digital advertising business and helping advertisers see how they should use these technologies. We have a potential to reshape our industry and our specialist sales teams are on the front line of delivering this message to our customers. We are looking for someone to take our Tumblr and content marketing propositions to market, driving large multi-market deals across the region, working with clients, creative, content and social agencies.
Your Day
• Meet with brands and agencies to learn about their business needs and social media strategies and devise a plan for adding Tumblr to their media mix
• Provide insights to brands currently utilizing the Tumblr platform to help optimize their creative development and media campaigns
• Work with the Yahoo Sales Team to build custom solutions for top clients
• Coordinate with the Tumblr Creative Strategy team to develop unique content strategies for top clients
• Available to speak at thought leadership events, large agency/client summits, etc.
• Revenue generator - the ability to achieve ambitious goals
You Must Have
• Knowledge of social media, reseller channels and vertical markets a plus
• Demonstrated 2 to 5 years exceptional sales experience in digital advertising/marketing
• Ability to win the support of key stakeholders
• Relationships with top marketing decision makers at traditional companies and agencies
• Proven track record of reaching and exceeding sales revenue goals
• Ability to perform well in a highly dynamic, rapidly changing environment
• Understanding of user behavior and how technology works and the ability to explain each in ordinary terms
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Great team player
• BA or BS degree or equivalent experience preferred
• Work in a pan-European environment with a start up mentality.
