Account Executive - Footwear

Primary Purpose:
The Account Executive position will actively manage a very new and growing Footwear business, working closely with the DVP of Wholesale Footwear to develop strategies to steer wholesale partnerships. Through a combination of successful development of existing accounts and the strategic distribution expansion with new accounts, the Account Executive will play an integral role in building innovative and effective initiatives. Utilizing financial analysis, POS data analysis, showroom sales, fashion merchandising skills, and footwear product knowledge the Account Executive will be an ambassador to the Company Footwear category. The individual should be actively engaged in the world of women’s fashion and have a strong understanding of Footwear category and its’ competitive brands and trends. Additionally, possessing strong and credible existing relationships with key retailers is highly desirable.
The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in the North America Wholesale channel to…
• Effectively communicate our new transformational brand narrative and be able to “sell the dream” of the collection.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key contacts for each major department store and specialty accounts managed.
• Develop and implement a specialty store distribution strategy in line with agreed sales vision and evolving strategic objectives.
• Analyze sales performance on a weekly, monthly and seasonal basis to drive overall business.
• Analyze margin, probability and revenue results and projections.
• Determine strategies to maximize sales growth and reduce inventory liability.
• Work directly with the account buying and planning teams to review seasonal sales and receipt plans, as well as profitability by month to maintain a healthy business.
• Work with account in the showroom by presenting the collection and building assortments that best represent the Company brand for the customer associated with the account and the specific store.
• Represent the core values of our brand and communicate our goals and initiatives effectively both internally and externally.
• Partner with internal departments, i.e. wholesale buying, field team and marketing to establish strong working relationships and effective communication.
• Communicate effectively to all of the appropriate teams and ensure pertinent information flows quickly and accurately to key constituents.
• Identify coaching and development opportunities with management to enable to grow and continuous improvement
The accomplished individual will possess…
• Experience working with Footwear in a wholesale environment.
• Existing relationships in the luxury footwear market.
• Solid understanding of retail math including mark-up, sell-through, OTB and gross margin
• Excellent showroom presentation skills and a fluid ability to merchandise and assort product as part of the “sell in” process to accounts.

• Completed university or college degree
• 5+ years of wholesale experience in the fashion industry
• An entrepreneurial spirit and drive for results.
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel functions and formulas
• Excellent problem solving skills
• A natural tendency to be well organized, and able to multi-task and prioritize effectively
• Sound judgment and great common sense
