We are London’s leading Corporate Reputation team. We create commercial value by delivering campaigns and advisory work for companies and brands that operate in the full glare of the public spotlight and whose reputations shape their businesses.
We have deep industry expertise and advise on integrated media strategy, digital and content production, crisis planning & response, litigation & legal affairs, employee engagement & advocacy, research & analytics, capital markets and government affairs.
The team includes more than 75 consultants specialising in all areas of corporate reputation and includes former journalists, senior in-house practitioners, government advisors and industry specialists as well as dedicated sector experts.

The role
We are looking to hire an Account Director to join our Corporate Reputation team. The successful candidate would have a track record of leading brands and organisations to manage their reputation. This person must be able to deliver strategic media relations, blending earned, owned, paid and social media, be an excellent team leader, and – crucially – have the ability to earn the trust of clients and counsel them across a range of issues.
Key Responsibilities:
• Managing and developing client relationships, exhibiting best practice in client handling
• Counselling clients confidently and maturely on communications marketing including PR, digital, social and content creation
• Contributing to client development plans and overseeing and driving creative client campaigns
• Writing PR plans, proposals and longer form PR materials, contributing to new business pitches and driving the development of pitch materials
• Taking responsibility for a portfolio of accounts and managing teams, developing and coaching junior team members, and line management responsibilities – minimum of one.
• Crafting compelling newsworthy stories from client content, and ‘selling in’ stories to journalists. Directing media engagement strategy for clients and coaching teams to activate and deliver coverage, leading from the front
• Assisting with overall financial management – forecasting, hours allocation for team members, project & plan budgeting, managing servicing levels
• Identifying potential leads and areas of growth within existing clients as well as broader opportunities from a prospecting perspective
The ideal candidate for this role will have/be:
• A background in corporate PR and reputation management, with agency experience working across the B2B and B2C space
• An interest in international business and finance, brand reputation, social causes, sports business, and/or politics and international affairs, with the ability to advise clients in these arenas
• The ability and experience to provide senior clients with clear, confident, and well-informed strategic counsel under pressure as well as excellent negotiation skills and ability to manage expectations against budgets / results
• A track record of handling complex stakeholders with ability to influence decisions
• A hands-on manager, with the capability to think and apply solutions quickly
• Strong communications skills, verbal and written - able to develop high-quality strategy and positioning documents, messaging, client proposals, and editorial copy to tight deadlines
• Strong knowledge of UK business media landscape and digital platforms with network of contacts
• Experience of multi-market coordination, working within integrated teams and across practices
• Creative, ambitious and displays good initiative with strong organisation and attention to detail
• The ability to effectively manage budgets and teams
• Passion for networking, both internally and externally, to develop contacts and generate new thinking and ways of working
