Description
<Roles/Required Competency>
1. Leading and motivating a team of La Mer Experts and AVEDA Day Makers in exceeding customers’ expectations and fully potentializing sales opportunities.
2. Ensure effective management of counter operations and housekeeping.
3. Ensure effective management of retailers’ assortment, ordering and inventory
4. Ensure smooth execution of marketing programs (including launches and promotional activities) and working closely with marketing team to explore incremental marketing/branding opportunities.
5. Working with marketing to track implemented programs in order to measure effectiveness.
6. Planning of monthly sales targets and incentive programs to motivate relevant sales personnel
7. Working closely with trainer to ensure that competency levels of sales personnel are constantly monitored and upgraded and that seasonal trainings are planned and executed in a timely manner
<Responsible Duties>
1) Primary responsibility lies in sales
• Planning of door targets, reviewing of planned target vs. budget and tracking of monthly target
• Understanding of sales environment and proposal of incentives accordingly
• Proposal of stop-gap plans to catch up on sales where necessary
• Motivating sales personnel and airport coordinators to ensure that there is an understanding on sales target requirements and working together to deliver best possible results.
• Managing inventory and assortment with retailers on an on-going basis. Quarterly reviews are necessary.
• Working with field sales to manage counters to ensure that they are immaculate at all times so as to provide the best possible interaction experience with customers.
2) Marketing Areas
• Door specific marketing program each season to be worked out and discussed with ASM or marketing
• Ensuring smooth coordination and execution of on counter events and various programs.
• Proper tracking of new launches and marketing promotions in order to track effectiveness
• Identifying new opportunities and constantly providing feedback to accelerate brand growth e.g. specific ways to do certain displays, specific products work better when sold in certain way, incentive programs to reward aircrew/airport staff etc.
3) Leading and Management of field sales
• Leading and motivating the field operation team
• Oversee the recruitment of sales personnel to ensure that we have the most suitable candidates to fill positions. Reviewing of roster to ensure sufficient staffing coverage for the counters
• Conducting on-counter orientation and elementary product training for new sales personnel to enable them to perform their job until formal training is organized by the Trainer.
• Evaluating the performance of sales personnel and work closely with Trainer to enhance product
• Ensuring grooming standards of the brands are adhered to at all times.
• Undertake disciplinary measures in tandem with Counter managers/leaders where necessary.
4) Others
• Timely submission of monthly commentary report to ASM
• Competitive activity tracking and feedback
Qualifications
<Requirements of experiences, backgrounds, qualifications etc.>
-Proficient in both written and spoken English and Japanese.
-Mobile, energetic and willing to travel up to 50% of time
-Good presentation skills and strong in written and verbal communication in both English and Japanese.
-Proficient in MS office (Excel, Words and Powerpoint)
<Preferred work experiences, backgrounds, qualifications etc.>
Bachelor degree
Minimum 3 years’ relevant working experience in travel retail environment, although not entirely necessary if the incumbent has other related working experience in the P&C/beauty industry.
