DESCRIPTION:
Programming Intern is responsible but not limited to the following:
• Update and manage grid of script submissions and pitches
• Archive development scripts and organize story library
• Participate in company-wide summer intern project
• Read and provide coverage on scripts
• Assist with casting projects, as needed
• Shadow executives and sit in on weekly staff meetings and pitches
QUALIFICATIONS:
The internship program will run for eight weeks beginning on June 12, 2017 and ending on August 4, 2017. Students will work full-time, Monday through Friday
Required Qualifications:
• Current undergraduate student (rising Junior or above)
• Strong interest in Cable/Entertainment industry
• 2.50 GPA or above
• Submission of a cover letter is required
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment under deadlines
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to work and prioritize work assignments
• Able to provide administrative support as needed
Desired Qualifications:
• Cable television experience a plus
• Active participation in extracurricular activities; clubs; and/or associations. Leadership positions while maintaining an above-average GPA, a plus
• Prior internship experience in a related field, a plus
• Grad Students preferred
