2017 SUMMER INTERN – PRODUCT DESIGN
Location: United States - Colorado - Greenwood Village

Length of Internship: May 30th - August 4th
The 2017 Summer Internship Program is looking for design-focused, curious, dedicated, and enthusiastic students seeking real-world experience. The goal is to give students an opportunity to act as a contributing member of a Product Design Team dedicated to spearheading innovation and intuitive design within the cable industry. Our Product team champions the Company experience, and ensures its quality from smart watch screens to 65” TVs, and everything between.
As an intern for the UX Product Design team, you’ll help to produce rich media presentations and demos to use at international conferences and industry events, as well as media for use in commercials, our online support library, and other internal uses.
The Summer Intern Program is 10 weeks here at Charter’s Denver Tech Center office in Englewood, CO. It will run from May 30, 2017 to August 4, 2017.
Duties & Responsibilities
• “Beat the Best” Project: Perform research to redesign a current feature of our product base to present to the team at the end of the semester
• Assist in development of storyboards for animation sequences
• Source content and concepts for media pieces
• Production of edited videos and animated sequences
Required Skills
• Ability to craft a narrative via animation and editing
• Interest in creating a motion design piece from start to finish as it relates to the project requirements
• Self-directed, thrives in a continually changing environment
• Conceptualization and visual communication abilities
• Ability to interpret the essence of a design and translate that to a developed interface
• Excellent collaboration skills and desire to iterate with designers
• Good communications skills
Technical Skills
• Knowledge of Keynote and/or Powerpoint
• Knowledge of motion design and video editing
• Proficiency in Adobe’s After Effects,
• Bonus points if you’re familiar with Audition, Premiere, and Adobe Media Encoder
• General understanding of video codecs, and able to properly encode video files
• Audio editing abilities are a plus
• Ability to write After Effects expressions is a plus
