In the previous role, I was responsible for input to division policies and procedures, and training for medical imaging applications and processes.

• ARDMS – American Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers, Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
• Advance Certification as necessary

Previously, I was responsible for assistance to physician for all procedures, responsible for maintenance of sterile field, proper set-up, and handling and maintenance of equipment and injection of contrast media.

• Performs non-invasive peripheral testing to evaluate the hemodynamics of patients’ arterial, venous and or cerebrovascular circulation by utilizing Doppler, ultrasound, plethysmography, duplex imaging and sound spectrum analysis according to the Policies and Procedures Manual
• Compiles reports to communicate test results to referring physicians by chart notation and/or oral report of preliminary findings and transmittal of final evaluation
• Submits activity reports as requested
• Correlates non-invasive test results with contrast radiographs in order to maintain quality control and to establish current accuracy by film and report review and in interfacing with the Department of Radiology
• Previous Vascular experience preferred
• RVT/OB/GYN/General Sonography
• RVT/ABD/General and OB/GYN
• Completion of a Neurology Residency

• Significant hospital-based neurology and stroke experience
• Fellowship training in Stroke and/or Neuro-Critical Care

• Graduate of AMA approved school of diagnostic medical sonography with specialty in vascular technology or practical experience gained in a diagnostic vascular setting combined with continuing education with references to support competency
• Proficient in carotid & peripheral vascular testing utilizing diagnostic imaging ultrasound equipment
• Capable of troubleshooting equipment issues
• Proven competency to adhere to the medical center´s established scanning protocols
