I submit this application to express my sincere interest in the patient care tech position.

Previously, I was responsible for assistance and/or performs basic activities of daily living and specified treatments and procedures under the direct supervision of the nurse.

I reviewed the requirements of the job opening and I believe my candidacy is an excellent fit for this position. Some of the key requirements that I have extensive experience with include:

• Active Licensed Nursing Assistant license
• Previous patient care technician experience preferred
• Perform basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including but not limited to, monitoring vital signs, taking blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output
• Participate as an active member of the health care team and positively promotes the rest of the team to patients/families/caregivers and other colleagues
• Active Certified Nurses’ Assistant License in Colorado
• BLS certification through American Heart Association or Red Cross
• Provide and promote patient safety, comfort and privacy
• Go above and beyond to assist our patients in a timely, efficient and courteous manner

• Assists in preparation of the unit, patient rooms, and beds for receiving patient admission, returning surgical patients, transfers, emergencies, or discharges
• Performs and documents care, procedures, treatments and reports abnormal values and/or patient responses to the RN
