• BLS certification from the American Heart Association within 3 months of hire
• Successful completion of a monitor technician course
• Bility to accept responsibility for accuracy and response times to emergent and non-emergent requests
• High school diploma or the equivalent from an accredited organization
• Basic cardiac dysrhythmia
• EKG competency assessment

Please consider my experience and qualifications for this position:

• Previous monitor tech/ward secretary, medical office and/or secretarial experience is preferred
• Previous hospital inpatient experience either in direct bedside care or unit clerical duties
• A successful test score on interpretation of cardiac rhythms and rhythm components
• BLS provided by the American Heart Association preferred
• Minimum of 6 months experience with patient care
• EMT (B, I or P) preferred
• BLS certificate is requried
• Experience in acute care setting is preferable

• Completion of approved cardiac monitoring course or demonstrates cardiac monitoring expertise by successfully passing cardiac rhythm test within 2 weeks of hire
• Current Missouri CNA, Missouri EMT license or have completed Fundamentals of Nursing
• LPN licensure, successful completion of a cardiovascular program, previous EKG, CCP experience preferred
