• Graduate of AMA approved Histology program

• HT or HTL certification and/or eligibility through American Society of clinical Pathologists (ASCP) preferred

• Certified as a Histotechnologist by the American Society of Clinical Pathologist, HTL (ASCP) or eligible certification completed within 18 months of employment
• Understands histologic methods, recognizes problems and initiate corrective action
• Recent experience in laboratory work, preferably histology laboratory preferred
• Prefer ASCP certification or Equivalent
• Education/training equivalent to the above that includes at least 60 semester hours or equivalent from an accredited institution

• Knowledge of paraffin embedded tissue, frozen tissue, and immunohistochemistry preferred
• Experience working in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred
• Image Analysis experience is preferred
