• Current American Heart Assocation BLS certification
• Current American Heart Assocation PALS certification
• Six months experience in an emergency department setting or 12 months as an ambulance attendant preferred
• Nursing Students in their first semester or higher
• Current CA EMT-1 license preferred
• Completion of EMT-1 Training program or equivalent educ/experience
• MOAB I / II within 30 to 150 days of hire
• National Registry of EMT certification, preferred

• Experience as an Emergency Medical Technician in hospital emergency department, or equivalent experience preferred
• Current RN or APRN license to work in state of Florida
• Basic knowledge of growth and development
• Previous acute care experience or experience in another health field preferred
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider
• NIH Stroke certification within 90 days of hire/transfer into the unit
• PCCN, CCRN or Med Surg Certification
• Experience with surgical and/or cardiac patients

• Texas Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B) or Paramedic (EMP-P) or one semester of Registered Nursing school
• Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross obtained within 2 Months (60 days) of hire date or job transfer date
• Students currently enrolled in a BSN or ASN program are also encouraged to apply
• Current experience in a medical setting or pre-hospital setting and use of medical terminology preferred
